Domain-specific Model Work Group

Work Group Lead: Ben Sooter

1. Develop a domain specific model for the power industry. Curate data and training strategies tailored to power system operations (generation, transmission & distribution, and end utilization and customer solutions).
2. Gather high value industry data. Prioritize high signal, properly governed datasets (including anonymized and synthetic data where appropriate) to ensure accuracy, reliability, and safety.
3. Work with the team to help develop the domain-specific model, including open-source and proprietary versions of the model.
4. Lead and coordinate with work group members to leverage their experience in either AI or Energy to enhance the performance of the DSM. Engage the work group to help with identifying use cases for which the DSM can be further trained on.
5. Benchmark the DSM to evaluate its performance and track progress over time.
6. Periodically report out to the Member Representative Committee (MRC)
